A few quick questions, then we send you your price. Many trades get it in minutes.

What limousine companies usually carry

  • Passenger auto liability
  • Physical damage
  • Uninsured motorist
  • General liability
  • Hired and non-owned auto
  • Workers’ comp
  • Umbrella

Watch for these in a limousine policy

  • One paid rideA personal auto policy excludes carrying passengers for a fee. The first paid ride in a personally insured vehicle can leave the business holding the claim.
  • Party buses and alcoholParty buses and drinking on board are often excluded or rated on their own. Tell us if riders drink in your vehicles, even if you do not serve.
  • Farm-outsWhen you farm a ride out to an affiliate, their policy should answer. Get their certificate first, since the customer booked you.
  • Chauffeur age and recordsMany insurers want chauffeurs 25 or older with clean MVRs, and will exclude a driver rather than rate one who falls short.
  • Stretch conversionsA converted stretch or custom coach is hard to value after a total loss. Stated amount coverage helps, but it still pays no more than the vehicle is worth.

What airports, hotels, and venues ask limousine companies for

  • Auto liabilityAirports and large venues set their own minimums, often above what the law requires.
  • Additional insuredThe airport authority, hotel, or venue named on auto and general liability.
  • Driver listSome accounts want every chauffeur listed and screened before they pick up guests.

Questions limousine companies ask

Straight answers.

The questions we hear most, answered plainly.

How much auto liability does a limo company need?

It depends on seats and where you drive. For interstate trips, vehicles seating 15 or fewer, driver included, need at least $1.5M, and 16 or more need $5M. Airports and local rules often set their own.

Are my passengers covered if an uninsured driver hits us?

Through uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage on your policy. With a full vehicle, those limits matter more than most owners expect.

Can I rent a vehicle for a busy weekend?

With hired auto coverage for liability and physical damage on the rental, yes. Check the rental agreement too, since some bar paid passenger use.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Most policies can be paid in full or monthly.
